About Me
Hey, I’m Rhapsody. I am a geek who enjoys music, programming, video games, Sci-fi, photography, working on my car, playing with my birds, hanging out with my friends and my beloved husband, and just being me!
Most importantly, I am a Christian and a believer. I believe Christ is the perfect Son of God, was born of the virgin Mary, suffered and died for my sins, and rose from the dead 3 days later, and is currently sitting at the right hand of my Father in heaven. It is my desire that others would see Christ in me and that I would live my belief in Christ everyday, every hour, and every minute. That is what the words Christian and believer mean to me, personally.
I am a junior engineer. My program of study focused on scientific programming and I absolutely love anything that involves mathematics or physics. I freely admit that I like to program in Fortran and I also willing to admit I know how to program in Fortran I - is that scary or what?! I love Assembly and I love binary math. By now, you have discovered I am weird, and I probably am. I am currenly doing Java and C# development for a group that is pretty elite. It is awesome but always frustratingly busy. Every now and then I get to do some scripting or get to go back to my unix days and I love it.
Below is a little bit of history on where the name and theme for my blog came from, I thought it would be interesting to share with you all.
Tending to Chaos refers to two things. First, the Law of Entropy, also known as the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, in which everything tends to disorder. Second, for those who know me - I love gardens. Tending means to watch after and take care of, this is the origin of Tending to Chaos for my website. Tending can also mean to have a tendency, so read it either way you like, but tending here, for me, is meant to be taking care of and watching after, like tending to a garden.
RhapsodyInCSMajor has its origins from my major. For those of you who know me, I have my degree in Computer Science, and that is where CS comes from. Rhapsody and Major come from my love for music, so I put the two together here and that is the story behind my website.
Cheers!
